About This Event
GameJam is a weekend-long hackathon where your love for video games meets real software engineering. Running from Friday to Sunday, teams come together to build projects centred around the theme of "Video Games" - whether that's a fully playable game, gamified educational content or innovative software built around the gaming world. If it's got something to do with video games, we want to see it.
This is a collaborative event brought to you by UQ Computing Society alongside UQ Reality Labs, QUT Reality Labs, UQ Ladies in Technology, UQ FinTech, QUT Game Dev Club and QUT Code Network.
Prizes: $4500 worth of prizes across multiple categories.
Judges: Riot Games is confirmed as part of our judging panel, with more companies to be announced in the lead-up to the event.
Food: We've got you covered for the whole weekend. 5 full meals are provided across the event: dinner on Friday, lunch and dinner on both Saturday and Sunday. Basic breakfast items will also be available each morning.
Please note that you must be a current member of any of the collaborating societies to be eligible for prizes.
